ANMN Successfully Completed ESSER Grant Projects 2023-2024
The two-year tenured ANMN board of 2023-25 successfully received and completed the two-year ANMN ESSER Summer Enrichment Program in 2023 and 2024. The program was designed to support Nepali youth most impacted by pandemic challenges. It engaged 100 youth participants from various Twin Cities metro areas. The six-week summer program offered seven enriching activities: yoga, environmental outdoor experiences, Nepali language, computer coding, public speaking, creative arts, and Nepali dance.
The program was evaluated through surveys and feedback sessions, which indicated significant academic, social, emotional, and mental health benefits for the participants. Both participants and parents expressed high satisfaction, while instructors noted improved social skills, focus, and cognitive development.
The program’s activities and financial reports were successfully submitted to and accepted by the Minnesota Department of Education’s ESSER Summer Enrichment Program, which funded the program. Of the $111,294 grant awarded, $108,931 was reimbursed.
Overall, the ESSER Summer Enrichment Program provided participants with a memorable and transformative experience, fostering lasting friendships and confidence. For detail report please read (link)
