ANMN Organized a 3-day Theatre Workshop for Youth

Earlier this August, ANMN hosted a vibrant three-day theatre workshop titled Ekadeshma, designed to ignite creativity and confidence in young performers. Held on August 2, 3, and 10, the workshop was led by renowned Nepali director and founder of Mandala Theatre Nepal, alongside celebrated theatre and film artist Aruna Lama. They were joined by emerging talents Sonam Sherpa, Asmi Pokharel, and Jenish Karmacharya—all based in Boston, Massachusetts.

The team was in Minnesota for their performance of Ghungriyeko Kapal at the Minnesota Fringe Festival, and brought their passion for storytelling to a group of nearly 10 children and their parents. Through engaging activities, participants explored the art of storytelling, learned to express emotions on stage, and discovered the power of theatre as a tool for connection and self-expression.

The Ekadeshma workshop offered a rare opportunity for youth to learn directly from seasoned and rising artists, leaving everyone inspired and eager for more.
