Death of a Nepali Student from Mankato !
Update 2 :- The body has been cremated here in Minnesota this afternoon in presence of one of the family member. May his soul rest in peace !
Update 1 :- Authorities have released the name of the 21-year-old victim. The Mankato Department of Public Safety identifies the victim as 21-year-old Ayush Bhattarai of Mankato. An autopsy found he died of carbon monoxide poisoning due to smoke inhalation. The investigation continues. The Free Press says Bhattarai was a former Minnesota State, Mankato student from Nepal
A Nepali student at Mankato has died in a fire at the Highland Hills apartments. The death happened on Aug 1, 2011. Police and the university official haven’t release the name yet.
The student came here to the US in December of 2008 and has been a student at Mankato since then. He was 21 years old.
His Immediate family are back in Nepal. One of his relatives is visiting Mankato to take part on decision whether to send the body back to Nepal or Cremate here in State.
