We are excited to announce that the 2023-2025 ANMN Board Election will be held in April, and the election committee is now accepting nominations for the positions of President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.

If you are interested in running for any of these positions, we encourage you to submit your nomination using this nomination form.

Once your nomination is received, the election committee will confirm your eligibility and provide you with further instructions on how to proceed with your campaign. The deadline for submitting nominations is March 24^th, 2023. Please note that you must be a current ANMN member to be eligible to run for a board position.

We hope you won’t but if you must you have until March 31^st to withdraw your nomination by emailing ANMNElection@NepCanUS.com.

If you are not interested in running for a board position but would still like to participate in the election, we encourage you to register to become a member of ANMN using the ANMN Membership Form. You must be a member of ANMN and be over the age of 18 to be eligible to vote. You will have an option to become a member and register to vote on the day of the election. Voting will take place on-site during ANMN 2023 New Year celebration on April 15^th, 2023.

ANMN Election Guidelines

• Start Time and duration of election:

April 15, 2023

4:00 PM -5:30 PM. 

• Opportunities for the candidates to present themselves, how where, when:

Candidates can send email appealing to ANMN mass through ANMN mailing list before the Election Day to introduce themselves with their vision, commitment to organization and community and their past experiences.

• Counting the ballots:

Election Committee members:  Bhaskar Tripathy, Bijay Shrestha, Binayak Marahatta

Other volunteers: TBD

• What to do if there is a tie?

There will be a re-election within two weeks.  Election committee will meet and decide on election date and how to do the re-election.

• How are we going to verify memberships?

Use our existing ANMN membership database.  All active members, renewed members, and new members will be allowed to vote.

Election Results: Will be announced after vote counting is completed (around 8:30 PM – 9:00 PM on April 15, 2023)
